Door to Door Refuse Collection
The Local Council is responsible for the domestic collection of refuse from all households in the locality. This door-to-door collection is done on a basis of three days a week, including public holidays.
Waste (which should be placed in black plastic bags) is collected every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
Household Waste Collection
The Local Council is also responsible for the collection of organic refuse from all households in the locality. This door-to-door collection is done on a basis of three days a week, including public holidays.
Waste (which should be placed in the small white bags) is collected every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Collection of Recyclable Refuse
The Msida Local Council is also part of the ‘Recycling Tuesdays’ scheme, where recyclable material is collected door-to-door every Tuesday morning. Additionally, the Msida Local Council is offering residents the possibility of taking glass bottles out, in front of their homes on the first Friday of every month.
Recycling can also take place at the various Bring-In Sites around Msida.
Collection of Bulky Refuse
Bulky refuse is collected three times a week. On Monday, Thursday and Friday. Bulky Refuse consists of general bulky waste from private households such as fridges, sofas etc. One may book this service by clicking the button below or by calling at the office on 21 334 343.
It is of utmost importance that all bulky refuse is taken out on the kerbside on the scheduled day of collection.
Collection of WEEE Refuse
WEEE refuse is collected every Tuesday including whne it falls on a public holiday. One may book this service by clicking the button below or by calling at the office on 21 334 343.

Street Sweeping
By using either a mechanical or a person street sweeper, we are ensuring the up-to-date tidiness of our streets.

Infrastructural Works
The Local Council is responsible for infrastructural works and projects, such as the maintenance of already existing pavements and roads. Maintenance of roads includes resurfacing and asphalting but does not include the construction of new roads. This falls under the responsibility of Infrastructure Malta.
Day Centre for the Elderly
The Centre is open on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Public Library
The Library, which is located in the Local Council Offices, is open to the public during the following hours:
Wednesday – 08.30 to 12.30
Friday – 17.00 to 19.00
Saturday – 08.30 to 12.30
